COMPETITION NOW ON!
We now have a judge for our first club competition on February 9th 2009. Ian Oliver, Chairman of Galashiels Camera Club has agreed to officiate.

ENTRIES - Photographs may be of any subject.
A maximum of TWO per member

In DIGITAL form (no prints). If possible reduce a copy of the file so that the longest side of the image is 1024 pixels. If this is not possible then don't worry, I will collect entries from you nearer the time. You may of course email you entries to me. (Dick)
We have another meeting before February when we can sort out any problems.
Try to have your photos ready by Friday 30th January.

The February meeting that is shown on the syllabus as a Slide Show may well turn out to be the occasion of our first club competition. I have approached Gala Camera Club to see if they can provide us with a judge who will also explain what a judge would be looking for when viewing competition entries.
I don't know yet if this will happen but, just in case, you could start thinking about what photos you will enter! I am suggesting an 'open' competition where the entries will be digital image files for projection (not prints) and can be of any subject. - more info later!
