PENCIL STAND
A very simple project for the youngest children. The wooden block can be pre-drilled if necessary.
A 5mm diameter hole will fit a normal sized pencil.
An alternative approach is to build up the hole from layers of punched card. Click on ++ button to see an example.

MARBLE RAMP
Another basic project. The ramp can be scored and folded or the narrow sides could be cut from a cereal box. Shown here with wooden support - a perfect opportunity to introduce sawing.
The' ++' and ' EXP' buttons show possible 'targets' for the marbles.
